Bryggeriet is the skate organization in Malmö managing the skateparks, building and designing new skateparks, organizing events and providing all the right elements for a fantastic skate scene. When Bryggeriet pitched the idea of a large outdoor concrete park, they wanted it to be made by the best and situated at the heart of the city. The City of Malmö were impressed by the sense of responsibility the skaters felt for their scene and saw the value in creating a skateboarding destination in Malmö. THE ROAD TO MALMÖ. In 2005 the board of the skatepark was granted a permit to start a high school on their premises. The idea waas to incorporate skateboarding as a subject on the school curiculum.
